BRAM STOKER AWARDS 2017: I FINALISTI

La “Horror Writers Association” ha annunciato le nomination per i “Bram Stoker Awards 2017” e con grande piacere vi segnaliamo che il nostro Alessandro Manzetti ne ha ricevute quest’anno ben due.

La HWA è la più importante associazione mondiale per gli scrittori del genere horror e dark fantasy. “La lista dei candidati di quest’anno dimostra davvero l’ampiezza e la qualità del genere horror,” ha detto Lisa Morton, presidente della HWA e più volte vincitrice dei “Bram Stoker Awards”. “Ancora una volta, i nostri membri e le nostre giurie hanno scelto opere eccezionali di letteratura, cinema, saggistica e poesia.”

L’assegnazione dei “Bram Stoker Awards” avverrà durante la terza annuale “StokerCon”, la convention dell’associazione, che si terrà dall’1 al 3 marzo a Providence nel Rhode Island.

Così chiamati in onore dell’autore del romanzo Dracula, i “Bram Stoker Awards” sono suddivisi in undici categorie e in passato si sono aggiudicati i premi nomi importanti come Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, George R. R. Martin, Joyce Carol Oates e Neil Gaiman. La “Horror Writers Association”, nata nel 1985 grazie a nomi noti del panorama letterario horror, fra cui Dean Koontz, Robert McCammon e Joe R. Lansdale, è una organizzazione no-profit di scrittori ed editori professionali di tutto il mondo, dedicata alla promozione della letteratura dark e degli interessi di coloro che la scrivono, compreso anche tutto ciò che vi ruota intorno.
